Agwé Body Mist

Driftwood, Ocean Spray, Bergamot & Tonka Bean makes up the scent of Agwé - The Loa of fishermen and sailors, Agwé is the king of the ocean and rules over all bodies of water.

Agwé holds all the knowledge and secrets of the sea. He protects those who travel by water or fly over water. When Agwe manifests himself , it often sits on a small, little chair and uses a cane or paddle to perform a paddling motion. He can also appear as any kind of sea creature.

What Agwé Can Do For You:
As king of the ocean, Agwe is considered one of the wealthiest of the Loa. Known for his generosity, he can help you in times of financial need. If you are going to be making a voyage by water or flying over an ocean, you can ask Agwe to bless your trip. Burn a candle for him before you go, and promise that you will burn another after you return.

Offerings:
Agwé loves white rice and cake with blue, green, white, and/or silver icing. He enjoys champagne and liqueurs. You can also gift him seashells, especially conch shells and conch shell horns, as well as white sheep fleece that has been dyed blue.

If you have access to the ocean, you can bring Agwe's offerings to the beach and place them on top of driftwood rafts that are floated out to sea.

Decorate Your Altar:
Draw out Agwe’s vévé (symbol) and place it on top of his altar or hang above it. If you have the resources, you can set up a saltwater tank as a shrine to Agwe to give him with a little taste of the ocean.
He can be represented as a statue or image of Saint Ulrich, who is depicted holding a fish. You can place model boats or images of boats atop Agwe's altar. An oar or paddle can be placed on Agwe's altar, along with driftwood, netting, and other naval artifacts. Sea shells, especially conch shells. Put Agwe’s offerings on top of his altar.
